We looked at lots of places but we never thought we would find such a perfect fit for my wife’s uncle. Our goal was to help him find a place where he would be surrounded by people who would genuinely care for and about him. The Medallion has become everything we hoped for - a community with warm ambiance, professional caring staff who are able to meet the ever-changing needs of the residents, an active schedule of social and recreational programs – and most of all - lots of love!

What is the process to apply to live at The Medallion?

The application process starts with a simple phone call to our Community Relations Department at 713-778-5702. From that point on an evaluation may be made to ensure your specific needs can be met.

Is there a long waiting list?

Even if you do not anticipate residing at The Medallion in the near future, we encourage you to plan ahead and join our future resident list. In this way you will have the peace of mind knowing that when you are ready to enjoy life at The Medallion you will receive priority consideration.

What types of financial arrangements are required?

Unlike some other Assisted Living communities, The Medallion has a monthly fee which is basically all inclusive and is related to the size of apartment you wish to rent There is no long-term lifetime contract required. The Medallion accepts only private fees and is covered by some long term care insurance policies. Please contact (713) 778-5702 or (713) 778-5777 for more detailed information.

Does The Medallion have its own medical and therapy staff?

All residents or The Medallion have the option of using all services that are offered on the Seven Acres campus. That includes visits with the medical and rehabilitation staff.

Is The Medallion a skilled nursing facility?

As an Assisted Living community, The Medallion does not provide skilled nursing services. If this need does arise, residents have the option of transitioning to Seven Acres for this level of care.

Do you have to be Jewish to live at The Medallion?

No. We are a non-sectarian, not-for profit organization which accepts persons of all faiths.
